چکیده

For a simply supported Bernoulli-Euler beam under moving load with constant velocity the bending and torsion vibrations are analysed. An analytical solution of decoupled partial differential equations is derived based on eigenmode expansion considering boundary initial conditions. pure analysis performed calculated. various longitudinal speeds results plotted. The coupled deformations computed using modal transformation. decoupling yields two separated ordinary in time which closed form solutions. solutions plotted discussed. A comparison numerical calculation finite element model shows good agreement.

Dynamic Stability Analysis of a Beam Excited by a Sequence of Moving Mass Particles

In this paper, the dynamic stability analysis of a simply supported beam carrying a sequence of moving masses is investigated. Many applications such as motion of vehicles or trains on bridges, cranes transporting loads along their span, fluid transfer pipe systems and the barrel of different weapons can be represented as a flexible beam carrying moving masses. The periodical traverse of masses...

Physical Nonlinear Analysis of a Beam Under Moving Harmonic Load

A prismatic beam made of a behaviorally nonlinear material is analyzed under aharmonic load moving with a known velocity. The vibration equation of motion is derived usingHamilton principle and Euler-Lagrange Equation. The amplitude of vibration, circular frequency, bending moment, stress and deflection of the beam can be calculated by the presented solution.Considering the response of the beam,...

An efficient analytical solution for nonlinear vibrations of a parametrically excited beam

An efficient and accurate analytical solution is provided using the homotopy-Pade technique for the nonlinear vibration of parametrically excited cantilever beams. The model is based on the Euler-Bernoulli assumption and includes third order nonlinear terms arisen from the inertial and curvature nonlinearities. The Galerkin’s method is used to convert the equation of motion to a nonlinear ordin...

Torsional Vibrations of Nonhomogeneous

ABSTRACT. This paper is concerned with the torsional vibrations of a nonhomogeneous magnetostrictive elastic cylinder. The cylinder is subjected to the action of a circumferential magnetic field produced by an axial current of constant density and the deformation of a magnetostrictive cylinder is produced by a constant longitudinal magnetic field. The frequency equation is determined, and the d...

Pull-In Instability and Vibrations of a Beam Micro-Gyroscope

Gyroscopes are used as rotation rate sensors. Conventional gyroscopes are heavy and bulky, which creates important problems regarding their usage in different applications. Micro-gyroscopes have solved these problems due to their small size. The beam micro-gyroscope is one of the popular types of inertial sensors. Their small dimensions and low energy consumption are key reasons for their popul...
